On 30 May, 2013, the EIB Institute organised in London a Conference on Innovative Financing of Cultural Heritage.

The Conference provided a forum for discussion on innovative approaches to address the challenges in financing heritage investment, particularly in European at a time when the need to invest to preserve cultural heritage assets clash with constraints on the availability of public funds. Among the speakers were Francesco Bandarin, Assistant Director General for Culture, UNESCO, Donovan Rypkema, President, Heritage Strategies International, Washington DC and Jonathan Taylor, EIB Vice-President.
