The EIB, represented by the EIB Institute, and the University of Namur have signed an agreement to develop their cooperation in the fields of academic research, knowledge transmission, internship and seminars.

The objective is to maximise the synergies between the two institutions for the benefit of students, academics and researchers.

A first initiative will take place in September when a master student will do an internship at the EIB. Regarding research, the two institutions will cooperate on specific themes such as urban issues, climate change, energy or innovation.

The European Investment Bank Group (the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund) has many partnerships with universities or university networks –which can also include non-university organisations such as research centres and foundations- to exchange knowledge and expertise, and to stimulate discussion on areas of interest.
