On 22 June 2018, in Berlin, Francisco de Paula Coelho, Dean of the Institute, will speak at a roundtable on “Cultural Heritage contributing to social and economic cohesion” during the European Cultural Heritage Summit (18-24 June) on “Sharing Heritage – Sharing Values”, one of the key public events of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

Other confirmed speakers are Johannes Ebert, Secretary General, Goethe Institute, Germany, Petra Kammerevert, Member of the European Parliament, Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education, Germany, Ingrid Schulerud, Ambassador of The Kingdom of Norway to The Kingdom of Belgium, and Deputy Head of the Mission of Norway to the EU, Norway, and Henri Swinkels, Regional Minister Liveability and Culture, Province of Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands.

The European Cultural Heritage Summit will be co-hosted by Europa Nostra, the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (SPK) and the German Cultural Heritage Committee (DNK), acting as national coordinator of the EYCH in Germany. The Summit will engage and mobilise a wide range of stakeholders, public and private, for an ambitious European Agenda and Action Plan for Cultural Heritage.
