EIB Vice-President Dario Scannapieco gave today the first lecture of an EIB Group (EIB and EIF) course about Long-Term Investments and Public Private Partnerships taught at Bocconi University. On 7 November, Iliyana Tsanova, Deputy General Director European Fund for Strategic Investments, will give the second of the four lectures planned.

This is the second year the EIB Institute is organising this course which provides a framework to understand development and funding approaches of long term investments, mainly based on public private partnerships (PPP), and the role of institutions such Development Banks and Sovereign Wealth Funds. It is taught by Veronica Vecchi and Giovanni Gorno Tempini, former CEO of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. The lectures will take place between 10 October and 28  November.

Hubert Cottogni and Ulrich Grabenwarter, both senior experts from the EIF, will be the other EIB Group speakers.

In 2017, the EIB Group signed a cooperation agreement with Bocconi University, the first with an Italian university, and coordinated by the EIB Institute.

The Institute organises and coordinates courses provided by EIB Group staff on the EIB’s Group role, missions and activities.
