Jokūbas Čižikas (ADP 2013) is a Lithuanian contemporary artist living and working in Vilnius and Athens. He graduated from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. His artistic practice consists of installation and performance art, sculptural prototypes and audio-visual compositions, in which he explores the super-sensory phenomena, the interaction between nature and technology, and socio-political structures.

Čižikas has participated in numerous group exhibitions and projects throughout Europe, in institutions such as Contemporary Art Centre (Vilnius, 2018), Ujazdowski Centre for Contemporary Art (Warsaw, 2018), MAXXI, the National Museum of 21st Century Arts (Rome 2018), Centrale Fies (Trento, Italy, 2016), Artists’ Film International, a project established by the Whitechapel Gallery (London 2018), Lithuanian pavilion opening performance for Žilvinas‘ Landzbergas project R (Venice biennale 2017), collaborating on a video work with the artist Joar Nango & Tanya Busse for Documenta 14, (Kassel 2017).
