Filipe Santos – chair professor of Social Entrepreneurship, Dean of Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, Chair of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) and EIB Institute partner – has just received the Social Innovation Thought Leader 2019 Award from the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.
The Social Innovation Thought Leader award was presented to Filipe Santos for his academic work and promotion of social entrepreneurship and social innovation worldwide. The award was announced at the opening of the Sustainable Development Impact Summit, a World Economic Forum event that took place in New York on 23-24 September.
Filipe Santos and Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics are long-standing partners of the EIB Institute’s initiatives in the field of social entrepreneurship and social innovation. Since 2016, Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics has organised the SIT Impact Bootcamp . Filipe Santos was also a speaker at a Midday Goes Social seminar in 2018.
