IRIS, the first Regional Social Innovation Incubator has strengthened its presence in the city of Porto and the northern region of Portugal with a new space dedicated to social entrepreneurship and social innovation inaugurated on Monday 6 January 2020.
The new space results from the partnership between the Institute, IRIS, and Instituto Politécnico do Porto.
It will offer social entrepreneurs from the Porto metropolitan area and the northern region of Portugal with access to an incubation and acceleration space and to know-how and mentoring.
Based in Amarante (Northern Portugal), IRIS is a European pilot project that helps local social entrepreneurs to start-up, test and grow their business by offering them all the necessary conditions for accessing knowledge, networks of partnerships and social investors.
