The jury has been selected for the Social Innovation Tournament 2023, which will take place on 28 September in Stockholm. Serial entrepreneur Ilonka Jankovich will preside over the jury composed of : fund manager Justina Alders-Sheya, impact investor Elena Casolari, Olivier de Guerre, IE University’s Social Innovation Director/Academic Lead Concepción Galdón, New Paradigm Venture founder Nikolaus Hutter, Shaping Impact Group founder Pieter Oostlander, Norrsken Accelerator Investment lead Magali Roy and deputy CEO of Stockholm based accelerator Sting  Karin Ruiz.

They will select the prize winners from among the 15 SIT finalists who will present and defend their projects and compete for €290 000 in prizes at the 12th edition of the tournament.

The jury will choose the winning projects in the General Category and the Special Category which will receive a first or second prize of €100 000 or €40 000 respectively. The Special Category prizes for 2023 will go to projects focusing on sustainable cities and communities. The audience attending the event in person or online will decide which finalist will receive the Audience Choice Award along with a prize of €10,000.

All finalists will be welcomed into the SIT alumni community to help them grow and develop their venture. Many finalists have already benefited from additional funding from the EU and private investors as well as numerous training and networking opportunities.

The Institute’s Social Innovation Tournament recognises and supports Europe’s best impact entrepreneurs. It promotes innovative ideas and rewards initiatives that create social, ethical and/or environmental impact. It centres projects in the areas of education, healthcare, the environment, circular economy, climate change, sustainable cities, blue and green economy, inclusion, job creation, ageing and many more.
