As global temperatures rise, proactive measures are needed to manage the effects of climate change. That is why the European Investment Bank (EIB) is launching its Adaptation Days on 24 to 25 April.

The event brings together financial institutions, insurance companies, cities and local authorities, utilities, network and water related activities, scientists and researchers  to share their experiences and explore solutions to scaling up finance and implementing adaptation projects that make our societies and economies stronger

More specifically, the EIB Institute is organising a panel on 25th April at 14h-16h focusing on social impacts from climate change and its interdependencies and processes. The panel, which will be followed by a Q&A session, has been organised by Edina Csanyi from the EIB Institute with outstanding speakers: Gisli Olafsson – Disaster risk management will introduce the event and the panel discussion will focus on “”Climate impacts beyond infrastructure” and feature Shona Whitton, IFRC Reference Centre for Psychosocial Support, Carmen Sanchez Guevara, architect, Universidad Politécnica Madrid and Christian Clot, The Human Adaptation Institute.
