Yulia Protsyshyn is a Ukrainian visual artist focusing on the figurative, structure and geometry in her art creativity.

She studied “Fine Arts and Graphics” at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv, Ukraine where she obtained her Master’s Degree with honours under the guidance of her professor Sergiy IvanovIn. This Art Department has an established reputation and the foundation for many of the leading Ukrainian graphic artists.

Since then, she has participated in more than 50 international exhibitions worldwide. Her work has received praise and recognition across many European centers and in Asia. During 2017-2023 – publications and articles about her work were released in the USA, Poland, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Japan.

Her practice and research during the Neimenster’s residency are based on drawings and experimentation with three-dimensional installations. She combines the constractivism, technicism and an architectural approach. Rhythmic strokes are viewed in material, constructive and aesthetic sequence to create contrast and emphasis. Embodied dynamics or statics function as a metaphor for creating space and logic organization.
