Trainings

The Institute organises trainings aimed at its SIT Alumni that cover topics of interest for impact businesses and help them with burning issues related to their work. These trainings are offered by renowned experts and practitioners in relevant areas. The Institute also partners with prestigious universities to offer scholarships to SIT Alumni to selected programmes. 

    • How to raise impact funding

      The EIB Institute, in collaboration with Efiko Academy, is pleased to offer its SIT Alumni, a training opportunity on how to raise impact funding with tailored and hybrid financing instruments. Learn how to plan and negotiate fundraising terms that fit your impact business model like a glove. Together with two impact investment structuring experts, you will discover how to successfully raise equity, convertible notes, mezzanine, and grants with smart financing terms that value both your financial and impact track record.

    • IMM e-learning: Session 4 – Getting the most out of your data

      The EIB Institute, in cooperation with inFocus, is pleased to provide the 2022 SIT Alumni cohort, a live four-week introductory online course run by inFocus tutors, which will introduce key impact measurement and management concepts and the tools and processes needed for effective application. In the final webinar of the series, we look at the different approaches you can take to analyse your data, introduce what to consider when sharing learning, and share different approaches for turning learning into action.

    • IMM e-learning: Session 3 – Collecting your data

      The EIB Institute, in cooperation with inFocus, is pleased to provide the 2022 SIT Alumni cohort, a live four-week introductory online course run by inFocus tutors, which will introduce key impact measurement and management concepts and the tools and processes needed for effective application. In this webinar we outline the different steps in effective and high-quality data collection, from selecting data collection methods (getting a balance between quantitative and qualitative methods), choosing a sample, and developing and deploying data collection tools.

      The EIB Institute, in cooperation with inFocus, is pleased to provide the 2022 SIT Alumni cohort, a live four-week introductory online course run by inFocus tutors, which will introduce key impact measurement and management concepts and the tools and processes needed for effective application. It is important to set your monitoring, evaluation and learning on the right track and ensure all your work in this area is as efficient and effective as possible.

    • IMM e-learning: Session 1 – Introducing Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) / Planning your approach to IMM

      The EIB Institute, in cooperation with inFocus, is pleased to provide the 2022 SIT Alumni cohort, a live four-week introductory online course run by inFocus tutors, which will introduce key impact measurement and management concepts and the tools and processes needed for effective application. The first session is an introduction to the topic of Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) (how to measure impact through monitoring, evaluation and learning activities) and look at the initial steps in planning your approach to IMM. This includes an introduction to ethics and participatory IMM.

    • Building an effective social innovation team

      SIT Alumni can now apply to attend the Building an effective social innovation team e-training delivered by ChangemakerXchange, a global community of changemakers. Given the nature of the initiative you are encouraged to register with more than one member per venture.

    • Lean innovation

      SIT Alumni can now apply to attend the two-hour e-training delivered by Sam Edom from Spring Impact and organised exclusively for the SIT Alumni Network, you will be introduced to lean experimentation and to a framework for learning from (and embracing) failure.
