Florence Biro is an Officer for the Knowledge Programme.

She started her career at the EIB in 1998 in the Legal Directorate – Operations. After nine years she became a Monitoring Analyst in the Operations outside Europe Directorate, working for the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Department. She then joined the Risk Management Directorate as Disbursement Officer for the Middle Office then working for the Derivatives Division – Financial Collateral on Loans Unit to manage a portfolio of bonds pledged to EIB to secure reimbursements. Her last assignment in the Risk Management Directorate was as Procurement and Budget Officer.

Prior to joining the EIB, Florence worked extensively in the private sector in Rome, namely for a film production company, for  consulting engineering firms and in the fashion design industry (Maison Valentino). She holds a BA in Applied Foreign Languages – English and Italian, with a minor in Portuguese, Economics and Law, from Paris X – Nanterre University.
