The European Investment Bank Group (the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund) has many partnerships with universities or university networks –which can also include non-university organisations such as research centres, foundations- to exchange knowledge and expertise, and to stimulate discussion on areas of interest. More specifically, the EIB Institute promotes student’ consultancy projects called capstones and organises academic courses provided by EIB Group staff on the EIB Group’s role, missions and activities.

      • Sciences PoSciences Po Since 2015, the EIB Group and Sciences Po, France’s leading university for social sciences, have been cooperating in the fields of academic research, vocational training, teaching and other collaboration.
      • Cooperation agreement with Bocconi UniversityBocconi University In 2017, the EIB signed an agreement with Bocconi University aiming at developing a wide ranging cooperation in the fields of academic research, teaching and  training. This is the first cooperation agreement signed with an Italian university.
      • University College LondonUniversity College London The EIB and University College London support a post-graduate course in Infrastructure Investment and Finance: the Masters of Science degree in Infrastructure Investment and Finance. The degree programme is based at  the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management.
      • College of EuropeCollege of Europe The EIB Group and the College of Europe signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2015 in order to reinforce and extend collaboration between the two institutions. An EIB seminar on Infrastructure project management is taught at the College by four EIB staff.
      • London School of EconomicsLondon School of Economics The EIB is partnering with the London School of Economics (LSE) on consultancy project (capstone projects) on selected topics relevant to the EIB as part of the curriculum of the LSE’s Master in Public Administration (MPA) Programme. Other organisations regularly hosting capstone projects include the World Bank, EBRD and OECD and the UK Government. Seven capstone projects have already taken place.
    •   University of NamurUniversity of Namur The EIB, represented by the EIB Institute, and the University of Namur have signed an agreement to develop their cooperation in the fields of academic research, knowledge transmission, internship and seminars.
    • Manchester Business SchoolManchester Business School The EIB Institute has partnered with Manchester Business School in the framework of a research programme of the European Commission, the FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network  on Risk Management and Risk Reporting.
    • ERSAERSA The EIB Institute is an institutional partner of ERSA , the European Regional Science Association.
    • FEMISEFEMISE The EIB has a cooperation agreement with FEMISE, the Euro-Mediterranean network of economics institutes, to cooperate in the field of research within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership
    • Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED)Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) The EIB has a cooperation agreement with UNIMED, the Mediterranean Universities Union, an association of 90 universities from 22 countries bordering the Mediterranean basin.
    • C.R.E.D.I.T. Network The EIB has a cooperation agreement with CREDIT Network which aims to promote research and training in credit risk and credit instruments through its network of  member universities.
