The Institute organises and coordinates courses provided by EIB Group staff on the EIB’s Group role, missions and activities.
Below is a list of courses organised with partner universities.

    • EIB meets La Sapienza

      The 2020 ‘’EIB meets La Sapienza’’ course ended on 22 May with a seminar on “The European Investment Fund: Social Commitment & Impact Finance”.Three other lectures took place on “The EIB Group Corporate Presentation” (24 April), “How do we work & how do we make decisions” (8 May) and “Investment Cost/Benefit Evaluation & Social Impact Evaluation” (15 May).

    • Research results on Western Balkans presented at Sapienza University

      Results of a STAREBEI research grant on “Investment for Growth and Development in the Western Balkans: The case of the Western Balkans Investment Framework” will be presented during two online lectures by the EIB tutor at Sapienza University on 20 and 21 May, 2020

    • EIB courses at TU Dresden

      The 2020 series of EIB courses for students from Dresden University’s School of International Studies has started in April with a seminar about the EIB’s history, role and missions.

    • New EIB course at the University of Sofia

      The University of Sofia has become the latest university to welcome an EIB course. Students from the University will also participate in the EIB Summer School.

    • Inclusive finance: new cohort graduates

      From Burundi to Pakistan and from Armenia to Uganda, 22 professionals from 17 countries coming from central banks, regulators, NGOs or microfinance institutions (MFI) graduated on 30 January 2020 from the fourth edition of the Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance.

    • First EIB courses at Dresden University

      The first series of EIB courses for students from Dresden University’s School of International Studies started last Friday 26 April 2019 with a seminar by Goetz von Thadden (EIB) about the EIB’s history, role and missions.

    • EIB courses at University of Luxembourg

      EIB Group staff have started teaching a course on “Policy, assessment and evaluation of energy projects at European level” for the students of two University of Luxembourg’s Faculty of Science, Technology and communication Masters programmes, the Master programme of sustainable development and the Master programme of energy efficiency and economics.

    • Success for EIB courses at UCL

      Close to 100 students have already graduated from the University College London (UCL)’ Masters of Science degree in Infrastructure Investment and Finance, a degree programme supported the EIB and taught by EIB staff. The Masters Programme started in 2013 and was renewed for five years in 2018.

    • Inclusive finance: “The solution is within our society”

      The third edition of the Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance wrapped up on 24 January 2019, with 18 participants from 12 countries across Africa, Asia, Central and South America completing the two-week course.

    • EIB seminar at College d’Europe

      The third edition of an EIB seminar on Infrastructure Project Management taught by EIB Group staff started on Monday 14 January at the College of Europe in Bruges.
