Orit E. Tykocinski is a professor of Psychology at Reichman University in Israel. In her research she explores the role of regret in intuitive judgments; the phenomenon of inaction inertia in consumer behaviour and political negotiations; emotion-based financial choices; and the effects of magical thinking on subjective risk assessments. Her research has been published in top academic journals and her TED talk on the counterintuitive psychology of insurance has received more than a million views.
