Guy Chetrit spent almost 30 years at the EIB and was involved in project financing and public-private partnerships from the early 1990s. Whilst at the EIB, he spent several years in London and Rome and worked on the financing of a wide variety of public-private partnership projects in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy and Greece. In 2010, Guy joined the European PPP Expertise Centre of the EIB as a principal adviser. He advised governments on designing public-private partnership policies and frameworks and on developing sound projects. He was exposed to a wide range of PPP topics such as financing, contractual techniques, the Eurostat treatment of public-private partnerships, and the opportunities for using them to deliver the climate agenda.
Guy retired from the EIB in 2022 but carries on offering his expertise and experience to startups and small companies addressing climate change and energy transition issues.
Guy is fluent in French, English and Italian.
