In collaboration with Católica-Lisbon, the EIB Institute has developed a series of webinars aimed at social entrepreneurs called “Social Innovation, Scaling, and Impact” (follow the link to see all the webinars). Throughout 2018 and 2019, numerous webinars were organised on topics of interest for social entrepreneurs to help them scale their impact further. The webinars are delivered by international-oriented speakers with deep expertise, in both academia and practice, in social entrepreneurship, fundraising and impact investing.

Professor Filipe Santos, Dean of Católica-Lisbon and Programme Director and Chaired Professor of Social Entrepreneurship, addressed hot topics in social innovation and questions submitted by participants such as:

  • How can established companies become engines for social innovation?
  • How can social innovators best engage and partner with companies?
  • When is the right time to spin off a for-profit entity when you are a non-profit?
  • What type of financing is available to scale social innovations?

This webinar was aimed at both early-stage social entrepreneurs and social venture leaders looking to scale up. Participants were able to find out more about the latest trends in the impact entrepreneurship and financing ecosystem.
