The EIB Institute has signed its first EIB research contract with Johns Hopkins University, Bologna.
The STAREBEI research grant on “Cyber Threats and Institutional Responses: An EU Case Study” will last nine months.
This is the first STAREBEI research contract signed for the year 2019. Five contracts were signed in 2018 with Politecnico de Milano, Luxembourg’s LIST, European University Institute, SOAS University of London and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
STAREBEI (STAges de REcherche BEI-EIB research internships) is a programme that provides grants to universities in order to finance junior researchers carrying out research projects proposed by the EIB Group (EIB and EIF) under the joint supervision of a university tutor and an EIB or EIF co-tutor.
To date, 46 young researchers from 34 universities in 12 European countries have benefited from the STAREBEI programme.
