From Burundi to Pakistan and from Armenia to Uganda, 22 professionals from 17 countries coming from central banks, regulators, NGOs or microfinance institutions (MFI) graduated on 30 January 2020 from the fourth edition of the Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance.
They joined a growing community of 70 alumni from Africa, Asia, Europe, Central and South America, who since 2017 have come to Luxembourg to benefit from this innovative training programme created by the University of Luxembourg Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (Professor Dirk Zetzsche) and Appui au développement autonome (ADA). It is further supported by the European Investment Bank (EIB) Institute and the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Over two weeks, the Certificate offers classes on regulatory supervision, law and ethics, investment vehicles and banking law, enabling an exchange between scholars, regulators and financial intermediaries, facilitating academic and non-academic cooperation. EIB Group staff teach courses on sustainable finance, microfinance at the EIB, impact and banking law.
The 5th edition of the Certificate will take place in January 2021.
