The Institute has signed a new research contract for young researchers with Johns Hopkins University-School of Advanced International Studies, Bologna, for a study on “Coastal Flood Risk Assessment in Skåne region, Sweden”.
The research will start in May 2020 and last one year. This is the 53rd research contract for young researchers signed by the Institute and the second one with Johns Hopkins University-SAIS following a STAREBEI research grant on “Cyber Threats and Institutional Responses: An EU Case Study” in 2019.
This is the fourth STAREBEI research contract signed in 2020 following those signed with the University of Leeds, the University of Luxembourg and Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden).
STAREBEI (STAges de REcherche BEI-EIB research internships) is a programme that provides grants to universities in order to finance junior researchers carrying out research projects proposed by the EIB Group (EIB and EIF) under the joint supervision of a university tutor and an EIB or EIF co-tutor. To date, 57 young researchers from 37 universities in 12 European countries have benefited from the STAREBEI programme.
