Laure Winants (Belgium, 30) is a research-based artist. Through interdisciplinary and experimental projects, she develops her work as a political place in which to explore the elements. She invites the viewer to cross into a new sensory space. Her current project crosses the boundaries between science and art, and draws upon collaborative works with climate scientists, geographers and speculative philosophers. Winants was recently an artist in residence in a 2800-metre-high Atmospheric Observatory, working directly on the field with climate scientists.
For the ADP residency, she has been selected for the Geographic Call, targeting artists from Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Luxembourg, Portugal and Romania.
