The EIB Institute is sponsoring the 14th NECTAR (Network on European Communications and Transport Activities Research) International Conference about “Transport in a Networked Society”, organised by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) in Madrid from 31 May to 2 June.
The conference intends to contribute to the debate on aspects such as the consequences of ICTs on transport, their potential to be disruptive to existing public transport services and their implications for spatial and economic developments. EIB experts Mario Aymerich and Stephane Petti will speak in the roundtables on “Transport in a Networked Society: The Way Ahead” on 1 June and “Transferring transport innovations into business” on 2 June.
NECTAR is a European-based scientific association, established in 1992, whose primary objective is to foster research collaboration and exchange of information between experts in the field of transport, communication and mobility from all European countries and the rest of the world.
