On 11 April, the journey of the first European “museum on wheels” – launched by the EIB Institute, Turin’s Museo del Risparmio and Scania Italia to teach Italian children how to make conscious use of resources – will end in the capital city of Rome.
The SAVE (Sustainability, Action, Voyage, Experience) truck, equipped as an interactive laboratory with contents from the Museo, left Piazza Castello in Milan on 5 October 2018.
In seven months, the “museum on wheels” has visited 22 cities, covering more than 2 200 kilometres in eight regions, making financial and environmental education available to 10 000 school-age children to teach them how to better use our resources – not only financial but also natural – and combat wastefulness.
The project is one of the Institute’s initiatives under its financial education activities.
